Solo Female Motorcyclist, Nikki Chamberlain goes across America while camping and discovering what it means to live in each state!

On this week's episode we chat with Nikki Chamberlain, who goes by the alias Kiwi Cruisette on Instagram, she has just wrapped up the trip of a lifetime. After losing her job as part of company wide covid layoffs, she turned this devastating year into an unforgettable journey of discovery, embracing the uncertainty and following a pipe dream. She has spent the last 6 months riding solo across America on her motorcycle, camping in forests, taking the backroads and discovering what it means to live in each of the 48 contiguous states. As an immigrant, she was curious to know what life was like for Americans from all walks of life, so she interviewed locals along the way, asking them for their take on the American Dream. Her interviews, daily vlogs and educational videos are published on her instagram and youtube channel, Lunch Cutter Productions. (We learn what a lunch cutter is!) By sharing her journey and learnings along the way, she hopes to encourage other women to ride and explore - and consider taking up motorcycle camping (aka motocamping) as a way to do both. After all, if you see it, you can be it.   Read the blog & Show Notes.

From Professionally Trained Pastry Chef to Food Photographer & Food Blogger with Sam Adler

On today’s episode I have one of my favs.  She is a Online Business Management or VA client also turned FRIEND.  Sam Adler!    Sam Adler is a professionally trained pastry chef, Saveur Blog Award winner, food photographer, and food blogger over on FrostingandFettuccine.com. She graduated from Le Cordon Bleu’s Baking and Pastry Arts program in 2013 and started her baking blog as a place to share recipes, which quickly evolved into a love of food styling and photography and a new career. She and her recipes have been featured in numerous online and in-print publications including Taste of Home Magazine, Bake from Scratch Magazine, Thrive Magazine, and Saveur.com. Sam lives in Hollywood Florida with her husband, two young kids, and french bulldog. When she’s not baking and dancing in her kitchen you can find her at her favorite yoga spot.

Sam and I discuss what it’s like going to pastry school, how she transformed from selling cakes from her home to her blog.  She gives baking tips for us home bakers.  How she elevated her brand and business, how it expanded from recipes, recipe development, food photography and her food photography and styling courses.  She even gives some awesome advice for aspiring food photographers and how to reach out to brands.  As always Sam and I have giggles even as we discuss business and life of a quarantined wife, mother and entrepreneur.
